Steak tacos sounded fantastic as I think this marinated flank steak is the best cut of meat for tacos. To make steak tacos, I placed a few slices of the meat on top of a lightly warmed corn tortilla (if you want to make your own, check out my Homemade Corn Tortillas recipe) and topped it off with some pico de gallo, a dollop of guacamole, slices of cucumbers, and fresh cilantro.

Instructions to make Flank Steak Tacos:
  1. Put flank steak in gallon zipper bag. Add lime juice and massage meat.
  2. Combine Chili Powder, lime rind, salt, Chipotle seasoning and black pepper. Shake into bag with meat and rub to cover. Put meat bag in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Set grill to medium-high heat. Cook flank steak for 6 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Cut meat diagonally across grain.
  6. Serve topped with your choice of salsa (I highly recommend my avocado salsa recipe) or onions and cilantro.
  7. Note: toast your taco shells on the grill, they only take about 15-20 seconds until they puff up and they're so much better than on a pan or microwaved.

Steak tacos sounded fantastic as I think this marinated flank steak is the best cut of meat for tacos. To make steak tacos, I placed a few slices of the meat on top of a lightly warmed corn tortilla (if you want to make your own, check out my Homemade Corn Tortillas recipe) and topped it off with some pico de gallo, a dollop of guacamole, slices of cucumbers, and fresh cilantro. Thinly slice, and chopped into pieces if desired. Place in warm or fried corn tortillas and served with your favorite taco toppings. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of the steaks.
